Uploading a GTFS File
Learn how to import GTFS transit feed files into Podaris.
This guide will walk you through the process of importing GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) data into Podaris.
To import a GTFS file:
- Open the asset library (e.g., from the Services panel or by clicking Import on the Home screen).

- Click Upload file at the bottom of the sideba

- Select Transport Network as the type of source you want to create.

- Drag your zipped GTFS file onto the dropzone or click Select file. Podaris automatically checks the file and displays a Detected as: GTFS feed label on the file card. Click Continue.

- Work through the GTFS import options inside the panel stage-by-stage (agency selection, date filtering, and schedule settings), using Next and Back to navigate and Continue on the final stage.

- On the draft detail panel, finalise your project title, set visibility/privacy, choose the destination folder, further filter your import by geography and click the button in the bottom right to finish. Larger feeds will queue in the background and notify you when ready.

Did you know you can now import GTFS files directly into a Network project?
You can launch the upload workflow directly when creating a new project:
-
- On the home screen, click New and select GTFS File under the Network templates.

- The asset library opens directly onto the upload panel, titled Create network from GTFS.
- Drop your file onto the dropzone. Project privacy, public access, license, and destination folder are set directly on the upload draft in the detail panel before finishing, rather than before the upload starts.

- On the home screen, click New and select GTFS File under the Network templates.
