Importing Services from Existing Projects

Podaris allows you to import routes from existing projects or networks. This feature can be accessed from the Services panel, by clicking the import button .

Clicking this button opens the asset library. From here, you can search for any existing project or network you have the appropriate access permissions for.

Once you select a source, you can optionally select a specific view to import (such as a single scenario), and optionally draw a geography on the detail map to restrict the import area. Click Import in the asset library to continue.

(Note: If you choose to upload a new Podaris file from your computer during this step, it will skip the route selection window entirely, as uploading acts as a commitment to import.)

Selecting routes to import

Once you have selected your source and clicked Import in the asset library, the route selection modal will appear. This window allows you to select the routes that you wish to import in a number of ways:

• Selecting or excluding individual routes for import
• Including or excluding all available routes
• By location - Geography filtering can now happen in two places: you can draw a boundary on the detail map in the next asset library step, or you can use the location filter here in the route picker to draw a polygon or import a shapefile (in a variety of formats, e.g. .geojson .json .kml .gpx .zip).

Routes can be filtered according to:

• Transport mode (bus, train, tram, etc...)
• Agency
• Status (included or excluded)
