The ability to effectively classify and visualise routes and services within public transport networks is crucial for understanding service patterns, analysing coverage, and making informed decisions. The color-by-attribute feature for service paths makes this process intuitive and efficient. This feature allows you to edit the [display settings](https://support.podaris.com/display-settings?hsLang=en) of paths, colour-categorizing them according to a chosen [route attribute](https://support.podaris.com/route-panel?hsLang=en). Navigate to the display settings located in the [control bar](https://support.podaris.com/controls?hsLang=en) at the top of your screen. Clicking on the display settings icon will bring up the display menu. 2. From here, select 'Paths' and scroll down to the 'Services' section 3. Set the path color within the services section to be by 'Attribute' 4. The edit attribute styling button ![](https://support.podaris.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Aug-30-2024-12-49-13-2074-PM.png?width=25&height=23&name=image-png-Aug-30-2024-12-49-13-2074-PM.png) can be used to customize the color scheme, set the legend title and toggle visibility. Clicking the “eye” icon next to each class, toggles the visibility and allows you to make certain classes hidden. Classes can be dragged and dropped to control the order they are displayed in on the map and in the legend.
