Why can’t I find the datasets I want to use in Podaris:Insight?

Understand how to create reference datasets for use within Podaris:Insight

When selecting a dataset for use in Podaris:Insight, this first needs to be created as a ‘reference’ dataset.

To do this:

1. Click the Podaris logo in the top left hand corner - this will navigate you back to your organisation’s home page
2. In the menu bar at the top select Datasets
3. Click the add new dataset button

From here the layout and navigation of the reference dataset is identical to a project created in Podaris:Plan, with the exception that certain functions such as the stations and isochrone tools and the services panel are not available.

To add a dataset, either create or import a dataset by using the buttons in the layers panel in the same way that you would for a project. For more detailed instructions on how to do this see the Import & Customise Datasets page.

You should now be able to search for and find this dataset when working in Podaris:Insight.
